213 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition from <br />Martha Jefferson Hospital and Donald R. Richardson <br />requesting vacation of an alley off Lexington Avenue and <br />adjacent to Parcels 252, 254, and 234 on City Real Property <br />TaxMap 53; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notice required <br />by Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as <br />amended, has been duly advertised; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE ITREsOLvED by the COuncil of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that Ms. Mary Jane Haynes, Messrs. <br />W. J. Copeland and H. P. Winn, Jr. report in writing to <br />Council what inconvenience, if any, would result from such <br />vacation. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: APPROVING JAMES WATER SUPPLY PLAN <br /> <br /> Mr. John Berberich, Chief City Engineer, stated that <br />the James Water Supply Plan stated that the Charlottesville <br />area may need to increase its water supply in the~near <br />future. Mr. Berberich stated that the resolution states <br />that Council feels that the recommendations contained in the <br />James Water Supply Plan appear reasonable. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution approving the James Water Supply Plan was <br />unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Water Control Board is developing <br />water supply plans for each river basin in the State; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Water Control Board has developed <br />a draft of the James Water Supply Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville has had the <br />opportunity to provide input and comments into the planning <br />process through a local representative on an advisory <br />committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesvillel agrees with the <br />general concepts and recommendations rpesented in the Plan <br />for waste systems serving the City of Charlottesville; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br /> the City of Charlottesville agrees that the recommendations <br /> appear to be reasonable andthat the Plan should be used as <br /> a guide for any water supply implementation program <br /> undertaken within the City of Charlottesville. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> Mr. Wiley stated that the computer had omitted lines in <br /> the zoning ordinance adopted by Council at the previous <br /> meeting and this ordinance would correct the error. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />ordinance entitled '!AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTIONS 31-180 AND 31-233 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE~ 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SIGN APPROVAL <br />PROCEDURES IN THE ARCHITRECTURAL DESIGN CONTROL DISTRICTS <br />AND APPEALS OF SITE PLANS FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION" was <br />offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the Public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, <br /> <br /> <br />
