224 <br /> <br />(I) BE IT RESOLVED b the City Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that the City Manager is authorized, for and <br />on behalf of the City of Charlotteville, to execute and file <br />an application to the Virginia Department of Transportation, <br />Commonwealth of Virginia, fora grant of transportation fund <br />authorized in Chapter 643, budget item 634 of the 1986 Acts <br />of the General Assembly in the amount of $301,171 for fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 1987, to defray the~public <br />transportation fuels, lubricants, tires, and maintenance <br />parts and supplies expenses of the City of Charlottesville <br />and to accept from the Virginia Department of Transportation <br />grants in such amount as may be awarded, and to authorize <br />the Transit Manager to furnish to the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation grants in such amount as may be awarded, and <br />to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation such documents~and other <br />information as may be required for processing the grant <br />request. <br /> <br /> The City Council certifies: that the funds shall be <br />used in accordance with the requirements of the <br />Appropriations Act of 1986; that the City of Charlottesville <br />will provide matching funds of five (5%) as required in such <br />Act~ that the record of receipts and expenditure of funds <br />granted the City of Charlottesville as authorized in the <br />Acts of the General Assembly (Chapter 643, Appropriation <br />Item 634) may be subject to audit by the Department of <br />Transportation and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts; <br />and that funds granted to the City of Charlottesville for <br />defraying the expenses of public transportation fuels, <br />lubricants, tires, and maintenance parts and supplies of the <br />City of Charlottesville shall be used only for such purpose <br />as authorized in the Acts of the General Assembly. <br /> <br />(II) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Charlotteville that the City Manager is authorized, for and <br />on behalf of the City of Charlottesville, to execute and <br />file an application to the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, for a grant of <br />transportation special revenues, in Chapter 643, budget item <br />634 of the 1986~Acts of the General Assembly in the amount <br />of $198,727.50 for fiscal year commencing July 1, 1987, to <br />defray the public transportation administrative expenses of <br />the City of Charlottesville and to accept from the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation grants in such amount as may be <br />awarded, and to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to <br />the Virginia Department of Transportation such documents and <br />other information as may be required for processing the <br />grant request. <br /> <br /> The City Council certifies: that the funds shall be <br />used in accordance with the requirements.of the <br />Appropriations Act of 1986; that the City of Charlottesville <br />will provide matching funds of fifty (50%) as required in <br />such Act; ~that the record of receipts and expenditure of <br />funds granted the City of Charlottesville as authorized in <br />the Acts of the General Assembly (Chapter 643, Appropriation <br />Item 634) may be subject to audit by the Department of' <br />Transportation and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts; <br />and that funds granted to teh City of Charlottesville for <br />defraying the expenses of public transportation <br />administration of the City of Charlottesville shall be used <br />only for such purpose as authorized in the Acts of the <br />General Assembly. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND <br />REORDAIN SECTIONS 31-180 AND 31-233 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF CHARLOTTESIVLLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SIGN <br />APPROVAL PROCEDURES IN THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNCONTROL <br />DISTRICTS AND APPEALS OF SITE PLANS FROM THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION" which was offered at the June 1st meeting, was <br /> <br /> <br />
