Mr. Chapman added that the City will <br />require that vendors supply detailed information about users <br />of the program in order to build an accurate data base. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Vandever, Director of the Independence Resource <br />Center, stated that the combined program penalizes persons <br />needing lift-equipped vehicles. Mr. Vandever recommended <br />that Council adopt the separate programs as had originally <br />been proposed during the budget process. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that he would favor implementing the <br />separate programs. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that he felt the separate programs <br />would ultimately cost more each year to operate. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, <br />Council unanimously approved the separated programs for the <br />Saturday service and User-Side Subsidy. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br />$2,929 - THERAPEUTIC RECREATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />..... ~.~ _ThewS2,9.29 ~appropriation for the Therapeutic Recreation <br /> Program which was offered at the July 20th meeting was <br /> approved by the following vote.
