256 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of ~ <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $85,000, to be <br />received in the Grants Fund from Virginia Department of <br />Criminal Justice Services Grant ~88-A6552, is hereby <br />appropriated to expenditure account number 11-12280 for the <br />operation of Charter House, a shelter for public inebriates, <br />during FY 1987-88 p0ursuant to a contract between the City <br />and the Region Ten Community Services Board, Division of <br />iAlcohol and Substance Abuse to be approved by the City <br />Manager. The sum of $44,617 previously appropriated to <br />expenditure account number 01-42190-5405 in the General Fund <br />as the City's contribution to Charter House is transferred <br />and reappropriated to expenditure account number 11-12280. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $4,048 - TROLLEY SERVICE (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $4,048 appropriation for trolley service which was <br />offered at the July 20th meeting was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, <br />Mr. Towe. Noes: None. Absent: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> BE IT.RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $4,048 is hereby <br /> appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General <br />Fund to expenditure account number 01-33010, then <br /> transferred and reappropriated to expenditure account <br /> 15-11010 in the Transit Fund, to fund the local share of <br /> operating additional transit routes to be served by the <br /> "trolley" buses recently acquired by Charlottesville Transit <br /> Service. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $642,710.60 - RIVANNA PARK CONSTRUCTION - <br />ALBEMARLE COUNTY CONTRIBUTION (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> Mr. Towe questioned what deletions had been made in the <br />plans for Rivanna Park. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that nothing has been deleted at this <br />~Pg~ .~h~g~.~.a~list?'of possible~changes~has been developed <br /> by the consultants and staff. Mr. Buck stated that further <br /> information has been requested by the Park Committee which <br /> will review the matter and make recommendations to Council <br /> and the Board of Supervisors. <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Connell stated that the original projects will be <br /> bid by item in order to have accurate cost estimates. Mr. <br /> O'Connell added that any changes or deletions would not <br /> affect the current appropriation. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gene German, Director of Parks and Recreation, <br />stated that bids will go out on September 1st and should be <br />back by September 22nd. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck recommended that Council receive the bid <br /> information prior to the meeting of the ParklCommittee. <br /> <br /> The $642,710.60 appropriation for Rivanna Park <br /> Construction which was offered at the July 20th meeting was <br /> approved by the following vote.
