Absent: Mr. Barnes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerald E. Fisher, Chairman of the Albemarle County <br />Board of Supervisors, reviewed the history of the <br />Lickinghole Creek area in Crozet. Mr. Fisher stated that an <br />interceptor is in place and it is proposed that a $1.8 <br />million basin be built to protect the watershed from the <br />runoff from present and proposed development in that area. <br />Mr. Fisher stated that part of the basin will be paid for by <br />a federal grant and requested that the City participate in <br />financing the basin because the consequences of the problem <br />will be shared by the City and County. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Tucker, Deputy County Executive, stated that <br />the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority has chosen not to go <br />forward with the Lickinghole Creek Sedimentation Basin as <br />they did not consider it a high priority at this time and <br />did not feel it was cost effective. <br /> <br /> <br />
