281 WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Corrections has notified the City's Community Attention system of a Juvenile Jail Removal Initiative Grant award; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that $24,862 is hereby appropriated to Community Attention Fund expenditure account 19-12040 for the operation of a program of temporary care and community supervision of juvenile offenders bY the City's Community Attention system, effective JulY 1, 1987. Such appropriation shall be conditioned upon receipt by the City of a like amount of funds from the Virginia Department of~ Corrections grant number 86=A6464J, to be credited to the Community Attention Fund. APPROPRIATION: (2nd reading) COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT REAPPROPRIATION The Community Development Block Grant Reappropriation which was offered at the August 17th meeting, was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Hall, Mr. Towe. Noes: None. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $64,400.00 is hereby apuropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to expenditure account 28-61030 for the purchase of additional school buses needed to impklement the middle school reorganization plan, approved by the City School Board on May 14, 1987.
