On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Dr. Hall, the ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF TWO PARCELS OF LAND, IDENTIFIED ON TAX MAP 36 AS PARCELS 82 AND 96, TO Dr. Martin ALBERT FOR AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR'S SIGNATURE ON THE DEED OF CONVEYANCE" was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. PUBLIC There were no matters by the public. OTHER BUSINESS Mr. Hendrix requested Council's approval of a resolution granting an easement to VEPCO in order to provide power to Rivanna Park. On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council unanimously approved the resolution granting an easement to VEPCO for Rivanna Park. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City the following document, in form approved by the City Attorney: Two easements from the City to Virginia Power, each dated August 31, 1987, granting Virginia Power access to Rivanna Park to install lines and cables. A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was adopted.. Mr. Buck requested a status report on the grading work being done in Rivanna Park. Dr. Hall requested that staff look into installing a traffic sign or railing at the curve at Brown and 8th Street, N.W. On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, Council unanimously voted to meet in executive session to discuss personnel matters, disposition of public property and legal matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1), (2), e f the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. eting was adjourned.
