APPROPR/A, TION: $60,000 - Advance to MACAA (2nd-reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by-the Council of the City ot' Charlottesville, Vkginia that <br />the sum of $60,000 is hereby appropriated from the unapprol~'mted balance oF the <br />General Fund as a loan to the Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA), as <br />start-up funds for the Summer Youth Works! program. This loan is conditioned upon <br />MACAA's promise to repay the advance in its entirety on or before November 1, 1999, <br />whether such repayment is effected from funds-~received from the MACAA contract <br />the Piedmont Job Training Administration or from some other source. Before the actual <br />advance is made by the City, MACAA shall properly execute an appropriate note <br />evidencing its indebtedness to the City in a form approved by the City Attorney and' <br />substantially tike the attached sampte. <br /> <br />APPROP ~RIATION: Community Development Block Grant and HOME <br /> Funds- FY 99/00 (carded over) <br /> <br />e. .RESOLUTION: Approving City Manager's Employment Contract <br /> <br /> BE iT RESOLVED by the CounciI of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the Employment Agreement between the City Council and the City Manager, dated <br />November 1, 1995, as amended on June 26, 1996, August 4, 1997, and June 1, 1998, is <br />hereby amended effective with the fiscal year beginning July 1, I999 as set forth more <br />fully below: <br /> <br />S.alary - Section 6 of said contract, as amended, will change so that the <br />City Manager's base salary shall be increased by 6.25% effective on July <br />1, t999. <br /> <br />Retirement - The second paragraph of Section 13 of said contract entitled <br />"Retirement Benefits" as amended on August 4, 1997, is hereby amended <br />to read imits entirety as follows: "In addition to the foregoing, the City <br />shall also make an annual contribution on beha~ of the City Manager <br />("Manager") to the ICMA-RC retirement plan, or a similar deferred <br />compensation-plan of the Manager's choice, in an amount equivalent to <br />10% of the Manager's annual salary in the year of the contribution.
