275 <br /> <br />(a) Continuing Appropriations - Gainsharing Accounts <br /> <br /> The following unexpended balances in the funds listed below shall be <br />permitted to be carried over and expended under the City's gainsharing guidelines. These <br />amounts shall not be deemed to expire at the end of the fiscal year, but shall continue in <br />effect unless altered by future action of the Council: <br /> <br />42-187-141014 Water Fund 19,031 <br />43-187-141114 Wastewater Fund 40,052 <br />44-113-141232 Gas Fund - Utility Billing Office 60,150 <br />66-112-151251 Warehouse Fund 13,441 <br /> <br />VIII. Commission on Children and Family Fund <br /> <br />(a) Supplemental Appropriation <br /> <br /> The sums set forth are hereby appropriated to the Commission on Children <br />and Family Fund. These revenues were received from the Commonwealth of Virginia in <br />account 20-020-062143: <br /> <br />Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Contract <br /> Act (VJCCCA) <br />Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice Grant 98-11-2 <br />Comprehensive Services Act <br /> <br />830,204 <br /> 55,109 <br /> 12,060 <br /> <br />(b) Continuing Appropriation <br /> <br /> The following unexpended balances in expenditure accounts at June 30, <br />1999, shall be permitted to be carded over and expended in the following fiscal year for <br />the purpose for which they were originally appropriated: <br /> <br />20-020-062142 Juvenile Court Assessment Center 2,499 <br />20-020-062147 Juvenile Justice Advisory Commission 2,500 <br />20-020-062141 Virginia Juvenile Commission Crime Control <br /> Act Programs <br /> <br />19,235 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City advanced funds to FOCUS of Charlottesville and <br />Albemarle for start-up funds for its Teensight Program, and FOCUS executed an <br />Amended Note for $17,000 on August 5, 1996, with a due date of August 15, 1997; and <br />later extended this loan to June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the City wishes to again extend the due date on the balance of the <br />loan; now therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that <br />the due date of the above-referenced loan is hereby extended to June 30, 2000. Any <br />additional extensions of this loan shall be conditioned upon execution of an Amended <br />Note by FOCUS to evidence the new terms of its indebtedness. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Ms. Richards said that at the last Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) <br />meeting, they were told that VDOT will be limited in using State funds for acquiring <br />additional land adjacent to the Meadowcreek Parkway. The MPO voted to request an <br />adjustment of the law. <br /> <br /> <br />
