RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Granting Special Permit to Allow Child Care at <br />1214 Long Street <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Nancy Carter, owner of the property at 1214 Long Street, has <br />requested a special use permit to allow operation of a child care facility at her residence <br />at 1214 Long Street. This property is further identified as Parcel 108 on City Real <br />Property Tax Map 51, having approximately 84 feet of frontage on Long Street, 153 feet <br />of frontage on the street leading into Burnley-Moran School, and containing <br />approximately 14,462 square feet of land or .33 acres; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the <br />Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on June 13, 2000, this Council lrmds that <br />such use will conform to the criteria applicable to special permits generally under <br />Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a <br />special use permit is hereby approved and granted to allow operation of a child care <br />facility on property owned by Ms. Nancy Carter at 1214 Long Street. This special use <br />permit is conditioned upon the following: <br /> <br />A limit of 12 children in the day care facility to be housed in the main house at <br />1214 Long Street, as proposed. <br /> <br />Administrative approval of the final site plan with all provisions of the City Code <br />addressed satisfactorily. <br /> <br />Appropriate fencing shall be provided around the play area and shown on the site <br />plan. <br /> <br />e. ,RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Granting Special Permit to Replace Tower at <br />Rescue Squad <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, The Charlottesville/Albemarle Rescue Squad has requested a <br />special use permit to allow replacement of an existing 150' communications tower with a <br />small frame freestanding tower at 828 Mclntire Road. This property is fiarther identified <br />as Parcel 17 on City Real Property Tax Map 47~ having approximately 245 feet of <br />frontage on Mclntire Road, 295 feet of frontage on the 250 bypass and containing <br />approximately 67,250 square feet of land or 1.54 acres; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the <br />Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on June 13, 2000, this Council finds that <br />such use will conform to the criteria applicable to special permits generally under <br />Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a <br />special use permit is hereby approved and granted to the Charlottesville/Albemarle <br />Rescue Squad, to allow replacement of an existing 150' communications tower with a <br />small frame freestanding tower at 828 Mclntire Road. This special use permit is <br />conditioned upon the following: <br /> <br />That, in the event that the Rescue Squad no longer uses the property, the tower <br />would be removed within 90 days. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />That, in the event that the tower is no longer needed or required by state law, the <br />tower would be removed within 90 days. <br /> <br />That the applicants agree to meet on site with a tree surgeon (at their expense), the <br />City arborist, City staff and neighbors to work out a way to preserve as much of <br />the tree coverage as possible. <br /> <br /> <br />
