RESOLUTION: Approval of Community Development Block Grant Ordinance WHEREAS, Section 2-421 of Article XIII of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1990, as amended, requires City Council to review and approve every three years the Community Development Block Grant planning process and the operation of CDBG-related task forces; and WltEREAS, such review has been'conducted and has been found to have fulfilled its intended purposes; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that Article XIII of Chapter 2 of the City Code, 1990, as amended, entitled "Community Development Block Grant Planning" is hereby continued and approved in its present form for an additional three years, unless sooner changed by proper amendment. e. APPROPRIATION: $351,500 - Grant to Piedmont Housing Alliance (Page Street Area) (2~d reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $351,500 is hereby appropriated from the following Capital Fund accounts in the following amounts for revitalization of housing in the 10th and Page Street neighborhoods: $258,523 from account 26-001-021001-44227 $ 92,977 from account 26-020-051528-53199 $351,500 TOTAL The total $351,500 from the above accounts shall be placed in account 26-041-062102- 54112 in the Capital Fund. f. APPROPRIATION: $244,880 - Drug Court Grant (2nd reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $244,800.00, to be received as a grant from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, is hereby appropriated to account 11- 230-032045 in the Grants Fund for the purpose of operating the Charlottesville- Albemarle Drug Treatment Court in Fiscal Year 2001. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City of Charlottesville and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services shall be drawn up to set forth the allocation of funds, which shall be substantially as follows: Offender Aid & Restoration/Jefferson Area COmmunity Correction Region Ten Community Services Board Probation & Parole Office, District 9 City of Charlottesville $75,106 $88,008 $ 40,330 $ 41,436 TOTAL $244,880 g. APPROPRIATION: $81,004 - Emergency Communications Center Dispatch Consoles (carried over) h. APPROPRIATION: $50,000 - Grant for Summer Nutrition Program (carried over)
