APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$3,622.44 - Weed and Seed Program Grant <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $3,622.44, received as a grant from the Weed and Seed Network, is hereby <br />appropriated to account 13-162-062132 for the purpose of reimbursing Teens GIVE for <br />the "Summer Teens in the Park." <br /> <br />c. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$70,101 - Local Law Enforcemem Grant <br />(2~a reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $70,101, received as a grant from the Bureau of Justice, is hereby appropriated <br />to account 1 t-270-041168.. <br /> <br />d. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />Reappropriating Neighborhood Drainage Funds <br />(2~a reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />$700,000 be appropriated from the Neighborhood Drainage account 28-181-051420-5011 <br />for the following projects in the following amounts: <br /> <br />$160,000 <br /> <br />Transfer to account 28-181-051301-50111 for city-wide drainage <br />projects. <br /> <br />$300,000 <br /> <br />Transfer to account 27-181-051533-53199 for traffic calming <br />projects. <br /> <br />$240,000 <br /> <br />Transfer to aCcount 27-181-051201-50111 for construction and <br />reconstruction of sidewalkS. <br /> <br />$700,000 TOTAL <br /> <br />e. RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Special Permit for Higher Density for MaywoOd <br />Lane Apartments at 1718 Jefferson Park Avenue <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James D. Stultz, representing the owner, CBS Rentals, of property <br />at 1718 Jefferson Park Avenue has requested a special use permit for higher density <br />residential development at Maywood Lane Apartments by allowing two additional <br />efficiency dwelling units, accessible to the handicapped. This property is further <br />idemified as Parcel 56 on City Real Property Tax Map 11, having approximately 100 feet <br />of frontage on Jefferson Park Avenue, 208 feet of frontage on Maywood Lane, and <br />containing approximately 20,259 square feet of land or .46 acres; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the <br />Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on June 13, 2000, this Council finds that <br />such use will conform to the criteria applicable to special permits generally under <br />Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a <br />special use permit is hereby approved and granted to CBS Rentals, owner of the property <br />at 1718 Jefferson Park Avenue, to allow an additional two (2) efficiency dwelling units, <br />accessible to the handicapped, at Maywood Lane Apartments. This special use permit is <br />conditioned upon: <br /> <br />1. Administrative approval of the final site plan, which shall include: <br /> <br />a. An amended landscape plan to provide denser screening at front of site. <br /> a. Three parking spaces shall be allowed to encroach into the <br /> front and side setback. <br /> <br /> <br />
