243 <br /> <br /> Mr. Tolbert said the idea is to take the specifics of the corridor study out of the <br />Plan, condense it, and make sure goals, objectives and implementations are stated. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lynch and Mr. Cox recommended that there be new opportunities for diverse <br />retail on the downtown mall. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schwartz recommended that key actions be prioritized and pivotal things be <br />identified. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tolbert asked that Planning Commissioners and Councilors let him know if <br />any actions should be completely taken out, and suggested they be culled down before <br />prioritizing. <br /> <br /> Ms. Clay Christensen asked if there is anything in the Urban Design criteria that <br />is felt to be inappropriate and should not be carried forward. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tolbert said the language is out of the corridor study and the intent is to <br />provide general guidelines to incorporate in zoning language for implementatiorr Mr. <br />Tolbert asked if there are any guidelines that should not be followed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lynch said 24 hour activity should be qualified. <br /> <br /> Mr. Caravati said he disagrees with the issue regarding newspaper boxes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Toscano suggested that some of these issues be circulated to businesses that <br /> could be affected by them. <br /> <br /> Mr. Supler agreed that businesses need to be notified directly to prevent a <br /> backlash. <br /> <br /> It was noted that many public meetings were held on the Comprehensive Plan to <br /> which businesses were invited. <br /> <br /> Mr. Clyde Gouldman, City Attorney, cautioned that the Comprehensive Plan is <br /> used as a basis for rezoning and care should be taken to notify businesses that could be <br /> affected by future rezoning. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schwartz recommended that the Chamber of Commerce be notified about <br /> things that may be of interest to their members. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox said he would like more green in parking lots. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tolbert asked that additional feedback be provided to him by Monday, <br /> December 4th. <br /> <br /> p/t?eSidenf~ t Cle k~r / <br /> <br /> <br />
