On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council <br /> unanimously voted to meet in executive session to discuss <br /> personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of <br /> the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. <br /> lng was adjourned. <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday, <br />September 30, 1985 AT following Housing Authority meeting <br />which begins at ?:30 p.m. IN THE Basement Conference Room. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Executive session to discuss personnel matters as <br />exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom <br />of Information Act. <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox (signed). <br /> <br /> BASEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM - September 30, 1985 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date with the <br />following members present: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, <br />Dr. Hall. ' ' <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />minutes of September 9th were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Mr. Buck, the <br />minutes of Septembe~ llth were approved as presented, with <br />Mr. Barnes and Mrs. Gleason abstaining. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />minutes of September 16th were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />minutes of September 30th were approved as presented,~ with <br />Dr. Gunter abstaining. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Glen West requested that enforcement at pedestrian <br />crosswalks be improved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that he would request that the Police <br />Department increase enforcement, but noted that it is a very <br />difficult law to enforce. <br /> <br /> Ms. Juliana Verser, President of the University of Virginia <br />Nursing School, questioned when Council would consider closing <br />the alley between Brandon Avenue and Monroe Lane because the <br /> <br />123 <br /> <br /> <br />
