Absent: Dr° Gunter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Campbell, representing the Social <br />Development Commission, felt that more emphasis should be <br />given to social programs rather than capital budget items <br />and that as federal funds diminish, social service program <br />funding will need to be increased at both the state and <br />local levels. Given the funding restraints, Mr. Campbell <br />stated that the Commission felt it was most important to <br />fund those programs serving the most immediate needs. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pete McIntosh, Director of the Charlottesville- <br />Albemarle Legal Aid Society, requested additional funding <br />to fund a fourth attorney position. Mro McIntosh stated <br />that if funds were received from the Interest on Lawyer <br />Trust Accounts(IOLTA), then the local allocation would be <br /> <br /> <br />
