~218 concurrence with the Resolution so that the Authority may finance the acquisition, construction and equipping of Facilities to be leased or sold to hospitals located in the Municipality; BE IT RESOLVED: (1) The City Council concurs with the Resolution adopted by the Authority to the extent required by Section 15.1-1378 to allow the Authority to finance with the Proceeds of the Bonds the Facilities described in the Resolution that are to be located in the Municipality. (2) This resolution shall take effect immediately. RESOLUTION: APPROVING TRANSIT GRANT APPLICATIONS On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, Council unanimously authorized the submission of three transit grant applications. 1- BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council that the City Manager is authorized, for and on behalf of the City of Charlottesville, to execute and file an application to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, for a grant of transportation funds authorized in Chapter , Item of the 1986 Acts of the General Assembly for State Aid for Capital Costs in the amount of $73,449.00 to defray ninety-five percent (95%) of the local matching share of the City of Charlottesville for equipment, facilities, and the associated costs of an approved Federal Capital Grant, to accept from the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation grants in such amount as may be awarded, and to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation such documents and other information as may be required for processing the grant request. The City Council certifies that the funds shall be used in accordance with the requirements of the Appro- priation Act of 1986 that the City of Charlottesville will provide matching funds in the ratio as required in such Act (five percent (5%) of the local matching share), that the records of receipts expenditure of funds granted the City of Charlottesville, as authorized by the Acts of the General Assembly (Chapter , Item State Aid for Capital Costs) may be subject to audit by the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation, and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts, and that funds granted to the City of Charlottesvile for defraying the cost of public transportation capital costs of the City of Charlottesville shall be used only for such purposes as authorized in the Acts of the General Assembly. 2- BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Charlottesville that the City Manager is authorized for and on behalf of the City of Charlottesville, to execute and file an application to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, for a grant of transportation fund authorized in Chapter , budget item of the 1986 Acts of the General Assembly in the amount of $287,241 for fiscal year commencing July 1, 1986, to defray the public transportatin fuels, lubricants, tires, and maintenance parts and supplies expenses of the City of Charlottesville and to accept from the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation grants in such amount as may be awarded, and to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation such documents and other information as may be required for processing the grant request.
