MINUTES On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the minutes of June 2nd were approved as corrected. On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the minutes of June 4th were approved as presented. On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the minutes of June llth were approved as presented, with Dr. Gunter abstaining. On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the minutes of June 12th were approved as presented. PUBLIC There were no matters by the public. PUBLIC HEARING: SCHOOL BOARD APPOINTMENTS Mr. Buck read the following list of applicants for the two vacancies on the School Board: Donald P. Firer, David W. Rutherford, Jim Hingeley, Richard Southworth, Jr., Cynthia Stratton, Boyd Tinsley, Mona Spinner, John Pezzoli, Ervin Jordan, Karen S. Mawyer, and Rauzelle Smith. Mrs. Frances Walton spoke in support of Mr. John Pezzoli and Mr. Jim Hingeley. Mr. Roger Leachman spoke in support of Mr. Jim Hingeley. Mr. Peter McIntosh spoke in support of Mr. Jim Hingeley. The public hearing was closed as there were no further speakers. APPOINTMENTS: BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS On motion by Mr. Barnes, Mr. Cole Hendrix, Mr. Frank Buck, and Mrs. Elizabeth Gleason were appointed to the City/County/University Policy Committee. On motion by Dr. Gunter, Mr. Satyendra Huja, .Mr. Lloyd Snook, and Mr. Michael Bednar were appointed to the City/County/University Technical Committee. On motion by Mrs. Gleason, Mr. Louie Chapman and Mrs. Marian Rabinowitz were appointed to three-year terms on the Region Ten Community Services Board. These terms will expire on June 30, 1989. On motion by Mr. Barnes, Mr. Drewary Brown was appointed to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Jail Board for a three-year term. This term will expire on June 30, 1989. On motion by Dr. Gunter, Mrs. Lucille Hall was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Social Services Advisory Board. This term will expire on June 30, 1987. On motion by Mr. Barnes, Mr. David Carter was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Jefferson Area Board for Aging. This term will expire on April 1, 1987. On motion by Dr. Gunter, Mr. Francis Fife was appointed to a two-year as the joint City/County appointment on the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority. This term will expire on May 1, 1988.
