E. Driscoll Frys Spring Road $27.00 $18.00 $9.00 <br />Petitions requesting a street light on St. Clair Avenue & Calhoun Street, and on <br />Street <br />Lights <br />South Street, were presented. On motion these petitions wore referred to the Mayor <br />and City Tanager with power to act. <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE SETTI�wG APART x;91,4.70.83 FOR STREETS, SEVERS, <br />LIGHTS, V,6ATER AND OTHER PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN THE ANNEXED TERRITORY", was presented <br />Ordinance- <br />12�o Plan <br />by Dr. Haden, seconded by Mr. Gleason, and carried over for consideration. <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, the report on audit by Richard G. Hantzmon for the <br />Audit <br />fiscal year ended August 31, 1939, was accepted and ordered filed with the minutes of <br />this meeting. <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, the report on audit of the School Board by Richard G. <br />Audit - <br />School <br />Hantzmon for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1939, was accepted and ordered filed with <br />ap the minutes of this meeting. <br />Ln <br />N Reservoir On motion the matter pertaining to additional property at the City Reservoir was <br />P-4 Property <br />.� carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by Mr. Gleason, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />$541-50 be and the same is hereby appropriated to pay W. L. Maupin for 1083 <br />Resolution <br />Appropriation transfers of land annexed by the City on January 1, 1939. <br />For Annexation <br />Transf ers ` <br />On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Haden, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED -by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />all of paragraph 3 pertaining to the interment of infants of the <br />Cemetery Cemetery Committee's report, which was adopted on May 1, 1939 (See <br />Committee's <br />Report Minute Book H, page 47) be and the same is hereby rescinded. <br />On motion the Council ts,ent into Executive Session by the following recorded <br />.0vote: Ayes: : Mr. . Gleason, Dr. . Haden, Tdfr. . Huff, lalr . Jessup, and 11r. Peyton. Noes: None. <br />y <br />A Committee from the School Board, composed of Dr. Balz, Mr. Perry, and Mr. <br />School <br />.-Board Dettor, addressed the Council in regard to additional equipment in.the new white high <br />Committee <br />school. On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by 14r. Gleason, the following resolution <br />was unanimously adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br />has been advised by the School Board of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Resolution Virginia, that it is necessary that said School Board have additional <br />re: transfer <br />of funds for funds for equipment beyond the sum of $36,200.00 allocated for equip - <br />new white <br />high school ment in the new white high school now being constructed, designated <br />as docket No. Virginia 1286 F, and <br />• 'WHEREAS, in the funds budgeted by the said School Board for <br />the completion of said white high school project there are included <br />funds budgeted for the construction of a sanitary sewer and storm <br />p iter disposal system, for certain driveways, cement walks, approaches <br />
