r94 <br />S3:DR <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Seth Burnley (signed) <br />City Manager <br />On motion the following resolution was adopted by the following recorded vote: <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, 1�Ir. Huff, Ivlr. Jessup, and Lvlr. Peyton. -Noes: None. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />$42,050.00, be and the same is hereby appropriated for the purposes set <br />Appropriation forth in the City Manager's quarterly Estimate for the quarter ending <br />Quarterly <br />Estimate February 2y, 19/+0, which amounts shall include all over -expenditures for <br />the last quarter ended November 30, 1939. <br />On motion the resolution appropriating $1,500.00 for sewers at the new white <br />Appropriation <br />Sewers at high school, which was offered at the last regular meeting, was adopted by the follow - <br />New white <br />high school ing recorded vote: Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, 1,,2r. Jessup, ana Mr.Peyton. <br />Noes: None. <br />On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Appropriation $200.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to pay Redland Land Corpora- <br />�- ater conn. <br />charges to tion for water connections of the Misses Copps, and Mr. P. H. Gentry. <br />Redland Land <br />Corp. <br />On motion the Council went into Executive Session by the following recorded vote <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, 11r. Huff, T,Ir. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. floes: None. <br />The following report was unanimously adopted: <br />December 4, 1939 <br />Report of City <br />Attorney re: <br />George Rage <br />claim <br />Application <br />for filling <br />station <br />permit <br />To the Council of <br />The City of Charlottesville <br />Gentlemen: <br />At the last Council meeting there was referred to me <br />for investigation and report the claim of George Bage for <br />damage to his automobile. <br />According to my information the point at which the <br />damage was suffered by Mr. Bage was not on a City Street <br />but on an.alley which has never been taken over by the City <br />and for the upkeep of which, in my opinion, the city is not <br />responsible. Cook, pastor of the University Baptist Church, addressed the <br />Taxes - <br />Univ. Baptist Council and requested that the University Baptist Church be relived of paying <br />Church <br />
