• The Confederate Pension Board of the City of Charlottesville
<br />reports that there are two Veterans and twenty widows of Confederate
<br />Veterans in the City that- have applied for a pension.

<br />On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by sir. Gleason, the City Auditor was instructed
<br />unanimously adopted:
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that
<br />Permit to
<br />Operate a a permit to operate a filling station at the Southeast corner of Preston
<br />filling
<br />• station Avenue and Alphonso Streets, be and the same is hereby granted to the
<br />Peyton Motor Company, Inc., on condition that the applicant complies with
<br />all of the requirements for the establishment of a filling station.
<br />On motion the following report was unanimously ado3ted, and the dedication of
<br />the streets named therein accepted:

<br />in width, and inasmuch as there are six houses on these two
<br />streets, I would recommend that these streets be taken over
<br />for maintenance.
