98 <br />Resolution The resolution appropriating $1,650.00 for property near the new white high • <br />Appropriation <br />property nearschool, which was offered in the last regular meeting was adopted by the following <br />new school <br />recorded vote: Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, lair. Huff, .1+1r. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />Noes: None. i <br />Appropriation The resolution appropriating $1,200.00 for the 1939 taxes on the University <br />Taxes on <br />Univ. BaptistBaptist Church, which was offered at the last regular meeting, was adopted by the <br />Church <br />following recorded vote: Ayes: Irr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and <br />idr. Peyton. Noes: None. <br />On motion by Mr. Gleason, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />Resolution - <br />Appropriation BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Refund of <br />Court Fine $151.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to refund to the State of <br />Virginia, a state police court fine which was erroneously turned into the <br />City. • <br />T. B. On motion a communication in regard to sanitarium care for City tuberculosis <br />patients <br />patients was carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br />Clerk Pr4stdent N <br />COLUTCIL CHA.11BER, JANUARY 15, 1940. <br />The Council Met in regular session on this date with the following members <br />present: 11,Ar. Gleason, Dr. Maden, i;Ir. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and 1r. Peyton. <br />Minutes of the Meeting of January 2, 1940, were read and approved. <br />Dr. T. S. Engla.r, Dr. E. C. Drash, and 11ir. N. T. Hildreth addressed the Council <br />T. B. in regard to tubercular care for city patients. On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by <br />Care <br />Mir. Gleason, the folloeing resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Appropria- X720.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to the Albemarle Tubercu- <br />tiation for <br />T. B. Care losis Association for the care of City tuberculosis patients. <br />Petition re: A petition requesting that the sale'of fireworks be lrohibited within the City <br />Fireworks <br />was presented, and on motion taken under advisement. <br />The following report was unanimously adopted: <br />January 15 , 19140 <br />To the Members of the City Council <br />City of Charlottesville, Va. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Report re: Vve have investigated the request of the Jachson Park <br />Public Hearing Hotel Corporation for change in zoning on Ivy Road <br />and we are of the opinion that a public hearing should <br />be held on this request. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />S.
