heard and maturely considered all of the evidence in this .-ase, II
<br />both oral and documentary, including maps, documents, records and
<br />exhibits, and proceedings heretofore had in this matter, and having
<br />fully inspected the territory sought to be annexed under the
<br />guidance of parties agreed on by the various parties t3 this cause,
<br />and the cause having been fully argued by counsel, the Court is
<br />of opinion and doth order as follows:
<br />THIRD: That the corporate limits of the City of Charlottesville
<br />op should be and are extended in Albemarle County a hereinafter recited,
<br />N Court the Curt having so drawn and established the line of annexation
<br />Order or extension as to contain a reasonably compact body of land and
<br />being ca-eful to see that no land is ta_�:en into the City of
<br />Charlottesville which is not adapted to city improvement, unless
<br />necessarily embraced in said compact body of land, and being careful
<br />also to exclude such land as the City would not need in the reasonably
<br />near future for development.
<br />FIRST: That it is nece-ssary and expedient that the corporate
<br />w
<br />limit--, of the City of Charlottesville should be extended for the
<br />reasons set forte in the said ordinance, which reasons are fully
<br />sustained by the evidence in this cause, to which action of the
<br />Curt the County if Albemarle excepts.
<br />SECOND: The Rector and Board of Visitors of the University of
<br />Virginia having appeared before this Court on November 9, 1938 by
<br />Abram P. Staples, Attorney General of the State of Virginia and
<br />having filed by leave of Court its petition and requested that the
<br />grounds of the Univer-ity of Virginia be not taken within the
<br />corporate limits of the City of Charlottesville, and the City of
<br />Charlottesville by counsel, and the County of Albemarle by counsel,
<br />and all other parties to this ::uit by counsel having signed a
<br />stipulation consenting to the omission of all property of the
<br />•
<br />University of Virginia from the corporate limits of the City of
<br />Charlottesville, and the Court finding it proper, it is ordered that
<br />no portion of the property of the University of Virginia shall be
<br />included within the corporate limits of the City of Charlottesville
<br />save and except as may be hereinafter specifically designated.
<br />THIRD: That the corporate limits of the City of Charlottesville
