Communicatiol� <br />re: change in <br />Zoning <br />Ordinance <br />A communication from the Virginia Trust Company, Richmond, Virginia, relative <br />to the request of M. L. Porter for a change in the Zoning Limits on Frys Spring <br />Road was presented. On motion by Dr. Haden, the Clerk of the Council was instructed <br />over <br />to turn all correspondence relative to the M. L. Porter petition/to the Zoning <br />Commission. <br />On motion the Council went into Executive Session by the following recorded vote: <br />Ages: vlr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, :fir. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Noes: None. <br />C. L. iiLrshall The Fire Chief addressed the Council and stated that A. A. Butler had decided <br />employed truck <br />driver for not to accept the position as truck driver for the Fire Department, and recommended <br />Fire Dept. <br />instead of that the job be given to C. L. Marshall. On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by Mr. <br />A. A. Butler <br />Gleason, C. L. Marshall was hired as truck driver for the Fire Department at a <br />salary of $100.00 per month. <br />Claim of On motion a claim of Elizabeth Warfield was referred to the City Manager and <br />Eliz. v+arfield <br />City Attorney for a report. <br />A motion by Dr. Haden that a Committee be appointed to determine the sale <br />Committee re: prices of lots in Oakwood Cemetery was unanimously adopted. The President appointed <br />Sale Price of <br />Lots in Oak- Dr. Haden, Mr. Peyton, and the City Manager to serve on t'lis Corumittee. <br />Food Cemetery <br />On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />thELt the C&A Bus Lines be and they are hereby authorized to continue <br />A motion by Mr. Gleason, that the Council go on record as expressing a vote of <br />Spruce Tree thanks to Mrs. Robert H. 1n.rebb for her gift of a beautiful spruce tree which was <br />in Lee Park <br />placed in Lee Pars, to be used especially at Christmas Time, was unanimously adojpted. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br />Clerk <br />Pursuant to the following call: <br />Mr. J. HUFF (signed) <br />Clerk President <br />the Council met in Special Session on this date i ith the following members present: <br />Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />to operate <br />busses from the North end of Locust <br />Avenue to the inter- <br />section <br />of <br />Rugby Avenue and Barracks Road on such <br />schedule as said <br />Company <br />may <br />see fit for a period of thirty days <br />in order to determine <br />Busses - <br />whether <br />the <br />operation of busses over this route <br />is feasiable, and <br />Locust Ave -to <br />BarrLcT_s Road. <br />BE <br />IT <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that said Company be <br />authorized to <br />Belmont Par'-' & <br />operate <br />busses <br />on a trial basis for a period of <br />thirty days from the <br />Clark School <br />C&O Bridge <br />at 7th Street, N.
