On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by <br />Mr. Gleason, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />Appropriation that $300.003, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the <br />for relief to <br />Indigents sane is hereby appropriated to purchase such supplies as are <br />necessary for distribution to the indigents of the City. <br />Jn motion the meeting adjourned. <br />C 'u <br />Clerk V - P r e s idrerft <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER, DECF",IB�R 19, 1938 <br />The Council met in regular session on this date v:ith the following members <br />present: Cdr. Gleason, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />Minutes of the Meetings of December 5, and December 13, 1938, were read and <br />approved. <br />A petition of Mr. Robert 'K. Glover requesting that his lot fronting 621 on <br />the east side of Route 29 and about 611 south of the right-of-way of the CFXO Railway <br />Petition re= Company be zoned so that the whole of his lot would be in B-2 Business District. On <br />change in <br />Zoning Ord. motion this mz--tter was referred to the Zoning Commission for recommenc ation. <br />The following report was unanimously adopted: <br />December 19, 1938 <br />To the Members of the City Council <br />City of Charlottesville, Va. <br />Gentlemen: <br />We have applications for county water connections as follows: <br />F. M. Thomas, E. Market- Street <br />c=ounty Inasmuch as this is in the annexed territory, I recommend. that <br />~ft'c ter this application be granted. <br />Applications <br />I also have application for T. Mahone in Meado'wbrook Heights, <br />and inasmuch as this is outside of the annexed territory, I do <br />not believe it should be grunted until some definite policy is <br />established for county connections in the area outside of that <br />to be annexed on January 1st. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Seth Burnley tsigned) <br />City Manager <br />SB:vL <br />On motion a petition for street lights along the street leading from Northwood <br />Petition <br />Street Avenue down to the tennis courts and McIntire park was referred to tyle Mavor and <br />Light <br />City -Manager with power to act. <br />On motion by Mr. Gleason, the folloiling resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />License Tax tiaat',30.50 be and the same is hereby appropriated for a license tax <br />Refund <br />refund to Irs. Grace Simmons. <br />On motion by Mr. Gleason, seconded by llr. Jessup, the following resolution <br />was unanimously adopted: <br />
