Cambridge On motion the matter pertaining to Cambridge Circle was carried over for <br />Circle <br />consideration. <br />Coal <br />Dealers' <br />Ordinance <br />Ordinance - <br />Parking <br />of Busses, <br />Trucks, <br />Trailers, <br />Etc. <br />Redland Land <br />Corporation <br />refund of <br />Burger water <br />connection <br />Appropriation <br />Welfare Dept. <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE SALE AND DELIVERY OF SOLID <br />FUEL CONSISTING OF COAL, COKE AND ANY MANUFACTURED OR PATENTED FUEL NOT SOLD BY <br />LIQUID OR METERED MEASURE TO CONSUMERS IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE}'VILLE, DESIGNATED <br />"SEC. 126 (1)" OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932, AND ENTITLED "CITY SEALER - COAL WEIGHTS - <br />PENALTY'.'; which was offered and read in the meeting of the Council held on March 20, <br />1939, was again read and adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Gleason, <br />Dr. Haden, 21r. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Noes: None. (Full text of this <br />ordinance will be found recorded in Ordinance Book 2, page 232). <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW SECTION TO THE CITY CODE OF <br />1932, DESIGNATED AND ENTITLED SECTION 489 (70), PARKING OF BUSSES, TRUCKS, TRAILERS, <br />ETC", which was offered and read in the meeting of the Council held on March 20, <br />1939, was again read and adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: sur. Gleason, <br />Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Noes: None. (Full text of this <br />Ordinance will be found recorded in Ordinance Book 2, page 233). <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />9100.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to refund to the Redland <br />Land Corporation for water connection of Dr. Alfred Burger on Blue Ridge Road. <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded by 11r. Gleason, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />�,200.00, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated to the Welfare Department for groceries, etc., for the month of <br />April, 1939. <br />Change in A motion by Dr. Haden, that all regular Council Meetings be held at 2:30 o'clock <br />Council Meeting <br />Time P. M. instead of 7:30 o'clock P. IT,, was unanimously adopted. <br />On motion a petition relative to a street light in the vicinity of Meridian <br />Street <br />Light Street and Elliott Avenue was referred to the mayor and City Manager with power to <br />Petition <br />act. <br />On motion the Council went into Executive Session by the following recorded <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, fir. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. Noes:None. <br />Sprig On motion a communication relative to Sprig Road was referred to the City <br />Road <br />;tanager for investigation and report. <br />A communication from the County Executive inclosing a resolution adopted by <br />Joint the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County, Virginia, on March 23, 199, <br />Health <br />Dppt. pertaining to the Joint Health Department, was presented, but no action taken <br />thereon. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br />VX uz�_ <br />Clerk President <br />
