4:3 I which was offered and read at the meeting of the Council held on March 9, 19392 was amended by changing the Zoning Map dated March 9, 1939, as follows: "Change from B-1 Business to A-1 Residence District the area north of 14adison Avenue and a line extending from the eastern end of Madison Avenue to the Southern Railroad parallel to and 300 feet north of Skinny*s Branch, and said map and ordinance was accordingly so amended and changed.?' On motion duly made and seconded, reading of said ordinance was dispensed with by unanimous vote, and the ordinance as amended was adopted by the following recorded vote: Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, and Mr. Peyton. Noes: None. (Full text of this ordinance will be found recorded in Ordinance Book 2, pages 223-232 ). On motion the meeting adjourned. Gentlemen: - With reference to the petition of residents of Valley Avenue, I Trish to advise that I have investigated this petition, and would recommend that tris street be taken over from Gildersleeve V!oods Valley to Brandon Avenue (between points B & C, as indicated on the Avenue attached drawing). This street is 40? wide betv%een A & B, but between A �- C it is only 301, a distance of 2091. However, as this section has not been built on it will probably not require a sidewalk, and 30f will no doubt be wide enough.
