Huff (signed) <br />Clerk President <br />the Council met in special session on this date pursuant to the following notice <br />which appeared in the Daily Progress on March 13, and March 20, 1939, with the <br />following members present: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, and Mr. Peyton; <br />NOTICE <br />A Public Hearing will be held at a Special Meeting <br />of the Council of the City of Charlottesville in the <br />Council Chamber of the City Hall on Wednesday, March 29, <br />1939, at 3:00 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of consider- <br />ing a final report of the Zoning Commission and the <br />adoption of a proposed ordinance providing for the division <br />of the municipal area of the City of Charlottesville into <br />zones or districts, and to regulate the use of land and <br />buildings and other structures, establishing building <br />lines and other restrictions for such districts, and to <br />provide penalties for the violation of such provisions <br />and restrictions, said report and proosed ordinance <br />having been prepared and proposed in accordance with an <br />Act of the General Assembly of Virginia approved March 18, <br />1926 (Chap. 197, Acts of 1926) and amendments thereto. <br />Jas.
