Birckhead, and others, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOL�TED that such legal action as may have been hereto- <br />fore taken relative to the above collection be approved and ratified. <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE kk''VIENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 94 OF THE 1939 <br />ANNUAL LICENSE TAX ORDINANCE ENTITLED "MUSICIAri - ITINERANT", was offered by Dr. <br />Ordinance- Haden, seconded by Mr. Gleason, and carried over for consideration. <br />"Musicians - <br />Itinerant" On motion an application for a county water connection was granted to A. Rice <br />County Water Greene on Rugby Road extended. <br />Connection <br />On motion by Dr. Haden, the following resolution.was unanimously adopted: <br />Appropriation BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Chamber of <br />Commerce Adv. -100.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to the Chamber of Commerce <br />for advertising. <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SUBSECTION 489 (70) OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF 1932, TO BE ENTITLED t1PARKING REGULATIONS - PARKING METERS"(the former sub- <br />Ordinance- section of this designation, entitled "Permits" having been repealed February 19th, <br />"Par:iing <br />Meters" 1931 - Ordinance Book 2 page 105) ", was offered by Dr. Haden, seconded by Mr. Jessup, <br />and carried over for consideration. <br />On motion the Council went into Executive Session by the following recorded vote: <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, 1r. Huff, and Mr. Jessup. Noes: None. <br />On motion the offer of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia to sell to the City its <br />Beckts Hill property located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Preston Avenue and <br />Property <br />West High Street (Beckts hill) for $3000.00 was accepted, payment to be made on <br />September 5, 1939• <br />On motion the meeting ad j ohne d . <br />Clerk <br />Pursuant to the following call: <br />Mr. J.
