25 <br /> <br />102 -- The Commissioer of Revenue shall receive for each license issued by him a fee <br /> <br />of seventy five cents (75¢), to be paid by the party to whom said license is issued. <br /> <br />103-- It shall be the duty of the Commissioner of revenue to keep a book, in which he <br /> <br />shall classify all branches of business and occupation updn which a license is imposed <br /> <br />by this ordinance, and show the arlount of assessment made upon each license, the name <br /> <br />of the person assessed, and the period for which such license was issued. <br /> <br />On the first day of December, March, June and September of each year he shall <br /> <br />deliver to the Finance Committe extracts from said book showing the entries therein <br /> <br />made, and the total arlount of license issued during the preceding three months, properly <br /> <br />classified. These extracts shall be certified under oath. <br /> <br />104-- The taxes on licenses acruing under the provisions of this ordinance shall be due <br /> <br />and payable, except where otherwise herein provided, upon the first day of May,1907, <br /> <br />and each gear thereafter, and shall be paid by the person against whom assessed to <br /> <br />the Treasurer of the city in its office prior to the first day of May. <br /> <br />105-- All ordinances or part of ordinances, relating to licenses, in conflict herewith <br /> <br />are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />106-- THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FORCE FROM ITS PASSAGE <br />Adopted at meeting of the Common Council March 26, 1907 <br />Presented and approved March 27, 1907. <br /> <br />Presidents Signature Mayor Signature <br /> <br />DEALERS IN FUTURE. (Amendment to sec. 29 of the License Ordinance) <br /> <br />Every person who shall conduct the business of dealing in what is known as <br /> <br />Futures in grain or any produce or merchandise, or in railroad <br /> <br />or other stocks or bonds, shall pay a specific tax of one hundred and fifty dollars (.$150), but this shall <br /> <br />not be deemed as interfering with the stock or bond dealing of regular bankers. <br /> <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted April 11, 1907 <br />Presidnet Signature Mayor Signature <br /> Presented and approved April 13, 1907. <br /> <br /> <br />EXPRESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES. (Amendment to sec. 37 License Ordinances) <br /> <br />Every Express Company or railroad doing an express business, having an office or <br /> <br />doing business in this city, shall pay for the exercise of this privilege a special <br /> <br />tax of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) for a year or part of a year, but <br /> <br />when two companies are operated jointly under the same agency and office the combined <br /> <br />license tax shall be two hundred dollars. <br /> <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted April 11,1907. <br /> <br />President Signature Mayor Signature <br />Adopted April 11, 1907/ Presented and approved April 13, 1907. <br />
