<br />having an office or carrying on business in this city shall he twenty five dollars
<br />(�25. ).
<br />All persons who shall fc�r compensation furnish plans and specifications for the
<br />erection or improvement of buildings shall be deemed Architects; and all persons who
<br />examine the eyes for the purpose of fitting glasses to them shall be deemed Opticiaae�
<br />within the meaning of this section.
<br />Ido such license shall be issued for less than $25.00. No pro rata.

<br />On every two -horse Hack ,Phaeton ,Omriihus or drag used for hire, tp!► dollars
<br />On every -one-horse Buggy Praeton,Surry,Drag,used for hire five dollars
<br />On ever,- two -horse wagon, or daay,with or without springs,used for ~lire ,twelve
<br />dollars (x,;12. ) .
<br />On every one-horse wagon,dra61 or cart, used for hire, six dollops
<br />On every Automobile used i'or hire, twenty d6ilads! t$20. ). - . ' .
<br />Any person desiring; to surrender a license for a one-horse vehicle and have isouet]
<br />therefor a license for a two -horse vehicle, shall be entitled to a credit for the
<br />unexpired part of the license surrendered.
<br />Any persot, non-resident,hauling goods or letting his vehicle or ve)iicl©s ,.�t fo0
<br />on the public streets of this city shall be held liable under this ordiriancc.
<br />• every licensed carriage ,hack ,wagon or other vehicle, shall have its number plainly
<br />marked on metal or other material and placed on the rear face of t},e rear axle the
<br />or other conspicuous place.
<br />Suchlicense nurr:ber shall be supplied by the Commissioner of Pevcnue.
<br />It shall be unlawful to transfer a tag from one vehicle to another, except in case
<br />of a vehicle being temporarily disabled.
<br />T:,e Chief of Police is hereby designated Wagon Inspector and it shall be his .duty
<br />see that all vehicles for which a license is required under this section s)!all rage
<br />number properly displayed, and if any vehicle be found without such number it 01141.1"1"
<br />be bis duty to ascertain the number and require said license to be procured under
<br />penalty as provided in the Generalrovisione of this ordinance.
<br />Tn the discharge of the duty thus imposed the Chief shall have authority to call
<br />to his aid the several members of his force.
