<br />1. BE IT ORDAI'lMD, by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that it shall
<br />be unlawful fur any person under the age of fifteen years to be in or upon the streets
<br />avenues or alle fys of this city after 7:30 o'clock P.'',, from the first day of October
<br />to the first day of :.ray, or after 9 o'clock P.:.'. from the first day of 1`ay to the
<br />first day of October, unless accorTpanied by and in the care of its parent or guardian,
<br />or ®one other adult with the consent of its parent,or guardian, or unless actually
<br />executing an emergenc;r errand upon which it has been sent by its parent or guardian,
<br />or unless such person be employed in business and his employment slakes it necessary
<br />for him to be upon the street s, avenues and alleys of the City during the night time
<br />after said specified hours.
<br />Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be summoned to appear
<br />before the Police ,Tsutice for such violation, and, upon conviction shall be fined not
<br />less than one nor more than five dollars for each offence, and the Police Justice
<br />imposing said fine 1,1a -%r extend the tine of payment of said fine, not exceeding thirty
<br />days upon the recognizance of the accused.
<br />2. It shall be t:ze duty of the C:-,.ief of the Fire repartment each day in the year
<br />fifteen minutes before the time specified in the first section of this ordinance, to
<br />cause to be rung; the bell of the Fire :)apartment for ten successive strokes.
<br />3. It is hereby made unlawful for any parent or guardian having the legal
<br />custody of any child under fifteen years of age to allow or permit any such criild or
<br />ward under such age to go or be in or upon any street,avenue or alley in violation of
<br />the provisions of section 1 of this ordinance. Anir person violating the provisions
<br />of this section small be sw,=Qned -'Vo appear before the Police lust ice for such viola-
<br />tion, and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than one nor ::lore than five dollars
<br />for each offence.
<br />4. This ordinance shall be in force frum and after the 1st, day of August,1907
<br />and, shall be published in some newspaper of this city at least ten times before the
<br />date it becomes effective.

<br />siderable expense employed a competent engineer to get the corporate lines established
<br />and permanently marked, using concrete hubs wherever necessary so as to preserve the
<br />sxt line for future reference; therefore be it
<br />RESOLVED: That to move,disturb or in any way tamper with above mentioned hubs or
<br />monuments erected by the engineer to establish the corporate lints, as set forth on
<br />the plat furnished by the engineer, of the City of Charlottesville, shall be a misde-
<br />meanor and punishable by fine as follows;
<br />To move, disturb or interfere with corner hubs, the sum of one hundred dollars;
<br />To move, disturb or interfere with intermediate hubs, the sum of twenty five dollars; 11
<br />or imprisonr,ent in jail at the discretion of the Police Justice in lieu of the finess
<br />mentioned above,
