AN ORDIILUCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 176 OF THE CITY CODS:VIZ. SEC. 176. BICYCLES AND AUTOMOBILES. No bicycle or similar machine shall be used over the sidewalks of the city; and automobile, bicycle, or similar machine shall be used over the streets of the city at __ greater rate of speed than fifteen miles an hour under any condition, nor at any rate of speed under this maximum which the conditions in the streets would make unsafe, Every such vehicle shall be provided with a bell, gong, or horn of the usual type which shall be sounded at street crossings, and whenever necessary to the safety of person using the streets, but at no other times; and no such vehicle shall be used, streets of the city after nightfall without a headlight or lantern of such nature placed as to be conspicuously visable at the distance of a block. Any violation of any provision of this section, as far as relates to automobile shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10. nor more than $100. , and as far it relates to other machines, by a fine of not less than $5. nor more than $25.,or, in __ by imprisonment in the city jail for not more than 30 days,or both by fine and imprisonment, as herein provideds his ordinance shall be in force from its passage. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 293 OF THE CITY CODE, VIZ: SEC.293. UNLAWFUL SALE OF LIQUOR--INFOMIATION CONCERNING. Unlawful sale Any person,other than a member of the police force or a city officer, who may of liquor-- furnish to the police department such information as will lead to a conviction for Informer to receive half the unlawful sale of wine,spirituous or malt liquors in this city, shall be entitle of fine. to and receive one-half of the fine imposed on the person found guilty, provided, informer makes written claim to the Police Justice for such part of the fine at to time the warrant or process is issued. AN ORDINANCE AMDING SECTION 324 OF THE CITY CODE: VIZ; RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF CHATLOTTESVILLE, THAT SECTION 324 OF THE CITY CODE __ AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: SEC. 324A. -- RED LIGHTS AT EXITS AND FIRE ESCAPES IN ALL THEATRES, MOTION PICTURE SHOWS AND LIKE PLACES. All theatres, motion picture shows, and like places,shall keep a red light buring until the hall is empited, at each exit and each fire escape during all performances and exhibitions.
