FIRE APPARATUS--DESIGNATION AND SPEED OF IN GOING TO FIRE. <br /> <br />No vehicle shall be construced as a part of the apparatus of the fire department which <br /> <br />is not driven by a driver in the employ of the said department; provided the Chief <br /> <br />of the fire department may, in an emergency, impress a vehicle for his own personnal <br /> <br />use in going, to a fire, in which case, the speed shall not exceed that of the other <br /> <br />apparatus of the department. <br /> <br />Adopted November 13,1913. Mayor Signature. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 582-1/2 DOGS -- NOT ALLOWED TO RUN AT LARGE. <br /> <br />Any person who shall allow his dog, puppy, or bitch at large upon the streets <br /> <br />shall be subject to a fine of not less than $1. nor more than $5, and any dof, <br /> <br />puppy, or bitch shall be impounded by tre police until redeemed by the payment of <br /> <br />$1. If not adeemed within five days the dog, puppy, or bith shall be put to death, <br /> <br />A dog accompanied by its owner or an authorized custodian shall not be deemed to <br /> <br />be at large. <br /> <br />Adopted November 13,1913. TREASURER'S COMMISSIONS. <br /> <br />From and after the first January,1914, the Treasurer shall be allowed two <br /> <br />per centum (2%) for his services in receiving and collecting the revenues; but he <br /> <br />shall not be allowed any compensation for disbursements. <br /> <br />The word "revenue" shall be constructed to mean only money arising from taxes, <br /> <br />licenses, water and gas, that is to say, money arising from some ordinance of the <br /> <br />Council or general law of the State to raise finds for the general benefit of the City. <br /> <br />In no case shall the Treasurar be entitled to any compensation for receiving or <br /> <br />disbursing furids arising from the sale of bunds or tre issuing of notes by the City <br /> <br />for any purpose. <br /> <br />Adopted December 11th,1913. SCAVENGER BILLS -- UNPAID AND UNREPORTED -- TO WHOM CHARGED. <br /> <br />If the Treasurer fail to report to the Trealth Officer on or before the tenth day <br /> <br />after the ending of the quarter a written list of all who have not paid the amount <br /> <br />necessary to renew the life of the dry -closet permit as required by action 367 <br /> <br />the unpaid license in each case shall be charged against the said Treasurer, and the <br /> <br />City Auditor shall refuse any credit to rim for such unpaid items. <br /> <br />Adopted December 11,1913. LOCOMOTIVES-- SHALL NOT SOUND WHISTLES IN CITY. <br /> <br />No locomotive engine whistle shall be sounded in the city limits, except to <br /> <br />warn persons or animals, off the road bed. Any person having charge of such engine <br /> <br />shall be fined not less than $2, nor more. than $10. for each offense. <br /> <br />Adopted December 11, 1913.
