<br />It shall be unlawful for any person in an intoxicated condition to operate; any
<br />automobile,motor tricycle or motor bicycle, and, any person so doing shall be liable
<br />to a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars, or, in the
<br />discretion df the Police Justice thirty days in ;jail, or both, and said Police Justice
<br />shall certify the fact of suc'-h conviction to the Yayor who shall. thereupon revoke
<br />the permit of any person so convicted.

<br />BE IT ORDAINFD,BY THE COUNCIL OF CHARLOTTESVILLE,That section 264 of the City Code
<br />be and is hereby amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
<br />SEC. 264. CIRCUSES ,EVIBITION,ETC*
<br />tt shall be unlawful for any person to make exhibition of a circus,tent of
<br />outdoor performance, feats of horsemanship or caravan of animals at any place within
<br />the city, unless it be in such a situation as n, -,t to disturb or annoy any of the
<br />citizens, and unless, in addition, it shall first gave been designated or approvet
<br />by the "payor, under a penalty of $20, for each offense; the disturbance or annoyance
<br />above Mentioned to be of such character as would constitute a nuisance under the law.

<br />in the cemeteries owned and controlled by the City, asking that trey be permitted
<br />to pair such an amount as would guarantee t?he perpetual care of their respective
<br />sections or parts t'^ereof; and

<br />rTEREAS it is deemed advisable at t"is time to provide for the reception of
<br />such fl)nds on the part of the City for the perpetual care of sections or parts so
<br />profidu-d for, therefore be it
<br />ORDAINF4D,BY THE C OUITCII 01,.P' CHARLOTTESVILLE:
<br />lat. That there shall be eeta,blis?^ed a fund to be known as "A fund for the.perpetual
<br />care of sections or parts thereof in the cemeteries,now or hereafter owned or con-
<br />trolled by the City of Charlottesville."
<br />2nd. That any owner or other party at interest may deposit wi. `:h the City Treasurer
<br />such sum to provide for the perpetual care of his section or part V-ereof, as will'
<br />tit 5% per annurn produce teat amount now required to be paid by owners of sections
<br />for the annual care of said sections or parts thereof. Tti,at is to sn,11;

<br />Owners of half sections will deposit 100.00
<br />Owners of quarter sections will deposit 50.00

<br />3rd. That such sums su deposit -,d shall be entered upon the ledger of the cite to the

<br />shall so stand to the credit of said account as long as this arrangement may be,

<br />4th. That the City shall keep such sections or parts thereof as sl-,allrave been
<br />dsnosited for, in good condition, that is to say; they shall be kept in good sod,
<br />the grass shall be kept trimmed and in good appearance and the gave stones shall
<br />be kept in shape, except that the city shall not be held liable for the deterioration
<br />of the stones or markers caused by Vie erosion of the elements.
<br />bth. Should tie city, at any time, discontinue the control and supervision of the
<br />several cemeteries then such funds ahall be transmitted to its successors, or
<br />returned to the estates pairing such sums into said fund. .
