0 <br />145 <br />day shall constitute a separate offeree Any fine imposed shall be recoverable before <br />j the police Justice of Crarlotteeville. <br />Presented and approved July 9, 1915. <br />Mayo r. <br />SEC. 176-1/2. nI APT,I3NTS. <br />Adopted by the Council Jule 8, 1915 <br />Air (2 oa�L <br />Presidents <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE; COU CI T OP CRARLOTTESVILLE , That no operator of any auto- <br />mobile or other motor vesicle of any other kind, while operating the same upon any <br />public highray within the limits of Charlottesville, shall use any acetylene, <br />electric or otter headlight on such vehicle unless such headlight be properly <br />designed, covered, shaded, deflected, dimmed or lowered so that it will not blind <br />or dazzle other users of the riRhway or make it difficult or unsafe for tl-em to ride, <br />drive or wall< thereon; and any person voilating t1+is provision shall be subject to <br />a fine of not less than $1. nor more than $5. for each and every first off:.nee, and <br />to a tine of not less than $5. and not more than $25, for each and every second or <br />subsequent offense. <br />Sec. 2. And be it further ordained, Trat for the purpose of making this ordinance <br />fully effective the owner of any motor vellicle operated contrary to the provisions <br />thereof shall be deemed prima facie the operator thereof. <br />presented and approved August 13,1915.
