<br />A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONTRACT WITH THE C. & A. RY. CO. FOR STREET LIGHTING

<br />FOR FIVE YEARS FROM SEP 1,1917, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO MAKE THE NECESSARY
<br />
<br />ENDORSEMENTS ON THE EXISTING CONTRACTS.
<br />
<br />Whereas, The Citiy of Charolttesville is now callad upon to exercise its options
<br />
<br /> renew its electric lighting contract with the Charlottesville & Albemarle Railway Co.,
<br />
<br />as provided therein, for a period of five or ten years, and whereas, the service
<br />
<br />rendered by the Charlottesville & Albemarle Railway Co. under the said contract has
<br />
<br />been satisfactory, therefore Be it Resolved, That the City of Charlottesville extneded
<br />
<br />its present lighting contract with the Charlottesville & Albemarle Railway Co. for a
<br />
<br />period of five ears from a September 1,1917 and the Mayor is hereby direct to notify
<br />
<br />the said company of such intention to so extend, and to make the necessary
<br />
<br />on the original contracts.
