<br />A PESOLUTION TERM-114TING TEE CONTRACT WITF. THE C & 0 RY. COVPkKY PROVIDING FOR
<br />FURNISHING WATER FOR TF1 USB OF SAID COVPAVY.
<br />Whereas the water in our two reservoirs has become so diminished through
<br />excessive use and protracted drought that we feel that we should cancel the contract
<br />with the C k 0 Ry. Co. dated July 1,1914, which provides for cancellation under such
<br />emergencies, therefore be it Resolved by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen
<br />concurring, That the Mayor be directed to notify the C & 0 Ry. Company that on and
<br />after November 15, 1914 the City will not furnish any water, and that the contract
<br />will be terminated on said date, November 15, 1917.

<br />Resolved, By the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />That after November 15,1917, at which time the contract with the C & 0 Ry. Coo
<br />for furnishing water for its use will be terminated, the said company will be
<br />furnished with as much water as in the judgement of the City Iranager and Aatpr
<br />Committee can reasonably be spared. Any water used after said date to be crar'ged
<br />at the prevailing rates for other consumers. 9
