<br />Resolved; By the Common Council, The Board of Aldermen concurring,

<br />That the discount of 10% allowed on gas bills for prompt payment be discontinued
<br />on and after November 1, 1917, making a uniform price of $1.25 on all gas sold,
<br />and That due notice be given in the Progress of the change .

<br />A RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE CONTRACT WITH THE C & O RY. COMPANY PROVIDING FOR
<br />
<br />FURNISHING WATER FOR THE USE OF SAID COMPANY.
<br />
<br />Whereas the water in our two reservoirs has become so diminished through
<br />
<br />excessive use and protracted drought that we feel that we should cancel the contract
<br />
<br />with the C & O Ry. Co. dated July 1,1914, which provides for cancellation under such
<br />
<br />emergencies, therefore be it Resolved by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen
<br />
<br />concurring, That the Mayor be directed to notify the C & O Ry. Company that on and
<br />
<br />after November 15, 1914 the City will not furnish any water, and that the contract
<br />
<br />will be terminated on said date, November 15, 1917.

<br />A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THE C & O RY. COMPANY WITH WATER WHEN THE JUDGEMENT OF

<br />THE CITY MANGER AND WATER COMMITTEE IT CAN RESONABLY BE ALLOWED, AND FIXING THE
<br />
<br />RATE THEREFOR.
<br />
<br />Resolved, By the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That after November 15,1917, at which time the contract with the C & O Ry. Co.
<br />
<br />for furnishing water for its use will be terminated, the said company will be
<br />
<br />furnished with as much water as in the judgement of the City Manager and Water
<br />
<br />Committee can reasonably be spared. Any water used after said date to be charged
<br />
<br />at the prevailing rates for other consumers.
