A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO THE WESTERN UNION TELEGRAPH COMPANY IRVING-WAY-HILL COMPANY TO ERECT ELECTRIC SIGNS IN FRONT OF THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS. BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, That permits be granted to the Western Union Telegraph Company and to Irving-Way- still Company to erect electric signs in front of their places of business, as follows; To the Western Union Telegraph Company a flexlume electric sign 72 in. long by 36 inches high, and to Irving -Way -Hill Company an electric sign three feet wide. These perrits are granted with the understanding that either of teem shall be removed at direction of the City. Adopted by Common Council Feb.5,1917. Ayes. President Common Council Signature. President Board of Aldermen. Presented and approved Feb. 13,1917. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SFC. 582-1/2 OF THE CITY CODE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN, THE COMMON COUNCIL CUNCURRING, That Sec. 582-1/2 of the City Code, entilted "Dogs -- Not allowed to run at large, be amended and , reenacted to read as follows: Any person who shall allow his dog, puppy, or bitch at large upon the streets shall be subject to a fine of not less than $1.00 nor more than $5.00 and any dog, puppy, or bitch shall be impounded by the police until redeemed by the payment of $1.00. If not redeemed within five days the dog, puppy, or bitch shall be put to death. Provided, however, that this ordinance shall not apply to a dog, puppy, or bitch wearing, a leather, metallic or other durable collar bearing the owner's name, plainly engraved, cut or mounted thereon, and to which is attached the City license tag for the year.
