Fife be engauged to assit the City Manager in the engineering <br /> <br />work of tre City, as per his position to the Mayor and City Manager February 8, <br /> <br />1917, for one year from March 1,1917, at a salary of $1,200. less such sum as he <br /> <br />may receive from the Southern railway Company for his services an inspector on the <br /> <br />cement bridge over Main Street. FOR STREET IMPROVMENT: <br /> <br />Resolved, By the Common Council of Charlottesville, The Board of Aldermen Concurring, <br /> <br />That the sum of $2500. be and is hereby appropriated to do the following street <br /> <br />worl; $500 for the purchase of drain pipe, and $2000. for rough grading, draining and <br /> <br />crowning important streets.
