A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $49,560. TO PROVIDED FOR THE CITY GOVERNEMENT FOR THE

<br />Resolved, By the Common Council of Charlottesville, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That the sum of $49,560. required for the conduct of the City government for
<br />
<br />the Quarter ending May 31,1917, as per the requisition of the City Manager and
<br />
<br />Engineer, presentad to tre Council at its meeting March 8, and spread on its journal,
<br />
<br />be and is hereby appropriated.

<br />A RESOULTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EMPLOY ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING HELP.

<br />Whereas it is important that the necessary data, in connection with tre proposed
<br />
<br />bond issue for streets, water, gas and sawers, be gathered and compiled at as early
<br />
<br />a date as possible, therefore be it
<br />
<br />RESOLVSD, By the Comon Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring, That the City
<br />
<br />Manager be and is hereby authorized to employ such additional engineering help as
<br />
<br />he stay deem necessary to complete this study within a reasonable time.
<br />

<br />A RESOULUTION CREATING AN EMERGENCY FUND IN CHARGE OF THE MAYOR AND APPROPRIATING
<br />$500. THEREFOR:
<br />
<br />Resolved, by the Board of Aldermen and Common Council, in joint session assembled,
<br />
<br />That the sum of $500. be and is hereby appropriated to be placed in the hands of
<br />
<br />the Mayor, who may use this sum in such manner and at such times as he may feel
<br />
<br />justified, to protect the interest, and property of this City at this critical and
<br />
<br />threatening war condition that now confronts us.
<br />
