<br />14. The TTealth Officer of the City of Charlottesville, the City Scavenger or a duly
<br />appointed inspector shall personally inspect all privies in Charlottesville as such
<br />inspection shall be deemed necessa-.y by said TTealth officer, scavenger or inspector.
<br />,rhe City wealth Officer., the City Scavenger or a duly appointed inspector is
<br />hereby empowered to enter all premises in the discharge of this duty.
<br />15. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail br refuse to corply with the
<br />provisions of this ordinance.
<br />16. Any person who violatas any of the provisions of this ordinance or the
<br />regulations aut)iurized by the .Board of Vealth, or any person, who in any way
<br />obstructs the City ••ealth authorities in the proper discharge of the duties
<br />prescribed in this ordinance shall upon conviction 'be fined in a sum of not more
<br />than one hundred dollars 0100) and may also be sentenced to hard labor for the
<br />city for a period of time, not exceeding six months,
<br />17. That all ordinancas or parts of the same in conflict with the provisions of
<br />this ordina, ne p are hereby repealed,
<br />18. This ordinance shall be in f i rce from July 1,1919.

<br />Amendment to An Ordinance amendinc and re-enacting Sec.592 of the City Code: entitled Spped of Cars:
<br />Sec. 592.
<br />Spped of care, Be it Ordained by the Board of Aldermen, the Common Council Concurring,
<br />That Sec -.1-592 of the City Code entitled Spied of Cars be amended and re-enacted
<br />so as to raad as follows:
<br />Sec.592. Speed of Cars: No locomotive engine, car or train of cars ►,r other
<br />vehicle on arty .railroad track, electric motor, car train of care or other vehicle
<br />on any street railway track within the city limits shall be Moved or propell,:;d
<br />along o rover any such railroad or street railroad track at a greater rate of speed
<br />than, fifteen miles per hour.
<br />No motor, car, train of cars or other vehicle .running on any street railroad
<br />track within the city limits ohall be moved o r ,prop elle d past the point of entrance
<br />into the one on which the street railroad is situated, or where any street crosses
<br />the said street railroad, or where any crossing for pedestrians crosses such tracks,
<br />whether at the end of a block on the street or not, at a greater rate of speed
<br />than five miles per hour. Any corporation or person violating any provisions of
<br />this section shall be fined not lass than $2.50 normore than $100. for each offense.
