An Ordinance repealing an ordinance to prohibit the sale of fireworks in the City, <br /> <br />adopted October. 26,1918, <br /> <br />Be it Ordained by the Board of Aldermen, the Common Council concurring, <br /> <br />That an ordinance to prohibit the sale of fireworks adopted October 28,1918, <br /> <br />spread on p.207 of the Ordinance Book, be and the some is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Board of Aldermen Oct. 13,1919. <br />Ayes: Patton, Timberlake, and Walker <br />Concurred in by common Councl December 11, 1919; <br />Ayes: Huyett, Long, Smith, and Twyman <br /> <br />Presented and approved December 12, 1919. <br /> <br />Mayor Singature. <br />City Clerk Signature. <br />President Board of Aldermen Singature. <br />President Commom Council Signature. <br /> <br /> <br />An Ordinance reenacting Sec.176 of the City Code entitled Sec. 176. <br /> <br />Bicycles, Automobiles and other vehicles <br /> <br />Be it Ordained by the Board of Alderrnan, the Common Council concurring, <br /> <br />That Sec.176 of the City Code be and the same is hereby amended and reenacted to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 176. Bicycles, Automobiles and other vehicles. <br /> <br />Traffic No bicycle or a. milar machine shall be used over the sidewalks of the City and no <br /> <br />automobile, bicycle, or similar machine shall be operated over the streets at a <br /> <br />greater rate of speed than fifteen (15) miles an hour under any condidions, nor at <br /> <br />any rate of speed which the conditions in the streets would make unsafe. <br /> <br />Every such vehicle shall be provided with a bell, gong or horn of the usual type which <br /> <br />shall he sounded whenever necessary to tre safety of any person using the streets, <br /> <br />but at no other time, and no bicycle or motorcycle shall be propelled along the <br /> <br />streets after nightfall without a lighted lamp on the front, and no automobile shall _ <br /> <br />propelled alone the streets after nightfall unless it shall be provided with at least <br /> <br />one lighted lamp on the front, showing a white light in the direction in which it is <br /> <br />going, such light to be dimmed in such manner as not to be blinding to the operator <br /> <br />of any car or any person meeting same. <br /> <br />No person under the age fifteen (15) years shall be pennitted to operate an <br /> <br />automobile or other motor vehicle within the City limits. <br /> <br />Any violation of any provision of this section as far as it relates to automobiles <br /> <br />shall be punished by a fine of not less than $1.00 or more than $100.00. and as far <br /> <br />as it relates to other machines, by a fine not less than $1.00 or more than $25.00 or <br /> <br />in any case by imprisonment in the City jail for not more than trirty (30) days or <br /> <br />both fine and imprisonment as therein provided.
