<br />An Ordinance amend in 7 and reenacting Sec.176 of the City Code entitled Sec. 176.
<br />Bicycles, Automobiles and other veliic.les.
<br />Be it Ordained by the Board of Alderrnan, the Common Council concurring,
<br />That Sec.176 of the City Code be and t'r.e same is hereby amended and reenacted to read
<br />as follows:
<br />Sec. 176. 31cycles, Automobiles and other vehicles.
<br />Traffic No bicycle or a.�milar machine shall be used over t -,e sidewalks of the City and no
<br />Ordinance.
<br />automobile, bicycle, or similes macl)inol shall. -be operated over the streets at a
<br />greater rate of speed than fifteen (1:)) miles an hour under any condidions, nor at
<br />any rate of speed which Va condi tions in the streets would crake unsafe.
<br />Every such vehicle shall be provided wit;, a bell, gong or horn of Via usual type wl-it}z
<br />shall. he sounded whenever necessary to tre safety of any person using t,Ie streets,
<br />but at no other time, and no bicycle or motorcycle shall be propelled along the
<br />streets after nightfall wit'►out a lighted lamp on the front, and no automobile sl^all b
<br />propell e -d alone tre strc; ets after nightfall unless it shall be provided with at least
<br />one ligLited lamp on the front, showing a wl-lit-; lip,ht in the direction in which it is
<br />going, such light to be dimmed in ouch manner as not to be blinding to t�-e operator

<br />automobile or other motor vehicle within the City limits.
<br />Anyviolation of any provision of this section as far as it relates to autoriobiles
<br />shall be -- uni sh ed by a fine of not less than $1.00 or more than $100.00, and as far
<br />as it relates to Other machines, by a fine not less than $1.OU or more than $25.00 or
<br />in any case by imprisonment in the City jail for not more than tri rty (30) days or
<br />both fine and imprisonment as t?�erein provided. Tlis ordinance shall be in force from
<br />its passage,
