the said $3,000. to be paid in furtherance of the agreement of the Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />to lay the pipe line, or paid to the State Board of Health in case it elects to lay <br /> <br />the main from the City main to the premises of the Sanatorium. <br /> <br />Resolved, further, That the City of Charlottesville will contribute free use of water <br /> <br />to said sanatorium for a period of five years from the laying of said water main, or <br /> <br />as long within that time as the privilege is not abused by exceeding the per capita <br /> <br />consumption usual in such institutions. <br /> <br />Resolved, further, That should the State Board of Health prefer to install art <br /> <br />independent water supply syet em of its own that said $3,000, shall be contributed <br /> <br />towards the installation of such system and there upon the city shall be relieved <br /> <br />from any obligation to contribute towards the laying of a water main, or the <br /> <br />furnishing of free water for five years. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Common Council March 13,1919. <br />Ayes: Elliott, Forrest, Gleaeon ,Huyett ,Long, <br />Smith, Twyman and Via; <br />Concurred in by Board of Alderman March 17,1919. <br />Ayes: Patton, Walker and Wheeler. <br /> <br />Mayor Signature <br />City Clerk Signature. <br />President Common Council Signature <br />Presidnet Board of Aldermen Signature <br /> <br />
