<br />A Resolution regulating the police salaries.
<br />Resolved by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />That the wages of the members of t'ha Charlottesville Police Force, dating frot
<br />April 1,1920, shall be fixed by the Yakvor and Chief of Police, provided, however, the
<br />minimum salary shall not be less than $75,00 per month and the maximum salary shall
<br />not be more than $110.00 per month. Fach member is to be rated and paid according
<br />to his efficiency. The Chief of Police shall receive a salary of $125.0() per. month,
<br />All ordinances and resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed,
<br />Adoptedby the Common Council April 8,3.920.

<br />9th,1920, callln: ! for an election by the voters upon a bond issue for municipal
<br />improvements, be amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
<br />Whereas it is deemed to be necessary and expedient and to the advantage of the
<br />city that the city should negotiate a loan to extend and improve its revenue producing 1
<br />utilities --to wit:
<br />$2000000 to augment and improve the city's water supply, $50,000 to extend the
<br />sewer system, and $35,000 to extend and equip the gas plant. Total $2851000#
<br />Whereas it is deemed to be expedient and to the best interests of the city th°t
<br />the city should include in said loan the additional sums following,, and for 0116 f01100'r
<br />purposes --to wit.:
<br />$25,000 to bond existing floating debt, f48p,000 to construct concrete stx6°to'
<br />estimated mileage 16, and sand -clay streets, estimated mileage 79 $125,000 to °reCt
