A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $73,008.49 TO COVER THE EXPENSES OF THE CITY GOVERNEMENT

<br />Resolved, by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That the sum of $73,008.49 be and is hereby made available to cover the expenses of
<br />
<br />the City government for the quarter ending May 31,1921, as follows:

<br />AN ORDINACE AMENDING SEC. 434 OF THE CITY CODE, ENTILTED SEX. 434 - WHERE AND TO WHOM
<br />
<br />PAYABLE.
<br />
<br />Resolved, by the Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That Sec. 434 of the City Codem entilted Sec. 434 -- where and to whom payable, be
<br />
<br />and is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br />
<br />It shall be the duty of all persons against whom such water rates are assessed,
<br />
<br />on the days on which they shall fall due, as heretofore prescibed, to pay said
<br />
<br />assessments to the Treasurer of the city at his office. The amount of said bill shall
<br />
<br />be paid to the Treasurer on the day it is due, adnd if said assessment are not paid
<br />
<br />on or before the 10th day of the calendar month in which they are due ; it shall
<br />
<br />be the duty of the Treasurer to notify the Superintendent of such default, and the
<br />
<br />Superintendent shall immediately shut the water off from the premises, as to which
<br />
<br />default is made, and shall not turn the same on again until he is notified by the
<br />
<br />Treasurer thatsaid assesment has been paid, including a fee of $1.00 to reimburse
<br />
<br />the city for the expense of turing the water. In the event of the 10th day of
<br />
<br />the month falliing on sunday, the Treasurer is authorized to extend the time of
<br />
<br />payment one day.

<br />Be it ordained? by the Common Council? the Board of Aldermen concurring,
<br />
<br />That Sections 451 and 452 of the City Code, as amended and re-enacted February 17,
<br />
<br />1920, be amended and re-enacted to read as follows:

<br />Section 451. WATER RATES.
<br />
<br />The water rates for this city shall be as follows until otherwise ordered by the
<br />
<br />City Council, the rates given in each case being the charge annum, excpet where
<br />
<br />otherwise indicated:
