A RESOLUTION accepting the proposition for opening of Wertland Street and authorizing the City Manager to laysidewalk on same. RESOLVED, BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDRMEN CONCURRING: That the report of the Street Committe in matter of opening of Wartland Street between 12-1/2 and 13th Streets, be received and accepted, and the City Manager be directed to carry out the laying of the sidewalks as soon as funds may be available for same, and as soon as the said streets shall have been deeded to the City. Adopted by the Common Council March 27, 1922 Ayes: Ellington, Forrest, Morris, Quarles, Twyman, Via, Watson and Whitten. Concurred in by board of Aldermen April 17, 1922 Ayes: Greaver, Haden and Patton Presented and approved April 18, 1922 Mayor Signature. Clerk Signature. A RESOLUTION appropriating $1,600 to lay sewer in 6th and 6-1/2 Streets to connect with the present sewer in Dice Street. That the sum of $1,600, or. so much thereof as may be necessary, be and is hereby appropriated to lay a sewer line in 6th and 6-1/2 Streets to connect with the present sewer in Dice Street. AN ORDINANCE REGUALTING THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF BOILERS IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CONCURRING, That no steam boiler carrying over ten pounds pressure per square inch shall be erected or operated within the City limits unless an inspection certificate of a recoognized insurance or casualty company is presented to the City Manager, who will then grant a permit. These permits must be secured each year not later than the first day of May, or on or before such steam boiler is put in operation. Any one violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to a penalty of $5.00 per day for each day he fails to comply.
