<br />(15) If the o�-,ner of any electric sign discontinue business at the place whore
<br />the si ~1i is located, such ^ign shall be taken doiam, at the expense of the oo;ner,
<br />within ten days after such discontinuance of business, and shell not b e erected else-
<br />where in the City except in conformity with the provisions of this ordinance.
<br />(16) No electric ign shall be used by anyone except by the person, firm or
<br />oorporation erectinv the same, except tiith the written consent of the City Manger.
<br />(17) As a condition of ',he peemis2ion to erect, construct or maintain any
<br />sign covered by this ordinance, the property, owner, the sign ov,�mer, and user :;f any
<br />such sign shall be and remain liable for all dama�,7es and injuries caused by the con-
<br />struction, maintenance or use of such sins, to persons or property, and shall also
<br />indemnify and Save harmless the City of Charlottesville against all da:na-es it may
<br />sustain in any m nner by the reason of the construction, maintenance or use of any
<br />sign erected, constructed or maintained ove.•, or on or in any stree' , sidewali;, park
<br />or public place in the City. Provided that any applicant for a permit to erect and
<br />maintain such sign -here the property owner refuses to agree to indemn' fy the City
<br />as above provided may in lieu of such agreement by such owner, file an in6elnni Eying
<br />bond ,�rith .some �;urety Company authorized to do business in this State as Surety
<br />thereon in the penalty of 410,000-00 and property coni i ti oned for the protection of
<br />the City.
<br />(18) Unless existing signs are specifically -entioned, the provisions of this
<br />ordinance shall apply only to signs hereinafter erected or altered.
<br />(19) This ordinance shall become, upon its passage, a part of the building
<br />Code of the City of Charlottesville find all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
<br />conflict with the foregoing are hereby repealed.
<br />(20) Any voilation of this )rdinance shall be punished by a fine of not less
<br />than five nor more than twenty dollars for each day the violation continues,

<br />AN ORDINANCE hEQUIRING BURNABLE AND UNBURNABLE REFUSE TO BE PLACED IN SEPARATE RZ(;i2TU, L ES.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a 11
<br />trash, garbage, sties etc. left for the City Bureau of refuse collection to remove shall
<br />ee be separated into two classes, one of burnable materials such as trash, garbage e to. and
<br />one of non -burnable materials such as ashes etc;. Each class shall be'placed in separate
<br />non -leaking receptacles, which shall not be filled within four inches of the top thereof.
<br />The City Manager is hereby empowered to adopt and put in force such rules
<br />and regulations governing the removal of ashes, garba#e and trash as he may deem necessary,
<br />Any person violating this section shall be fined not less than $1.00 or more than .$5.00
<br />for each offense.
