<br />Sec. 8. Incombustible walls, cornices, and roofs required wjthin limit$,
<br />Every building hereafter erected or enlarged within the fire limits shall
<br />be enclosed on all sides with wails constructed wholly of stone, well -burned brick,
<br />concrete, or other equivalent incombustible materials; and shall have the roof, top, and
<br />sides of all roof structures, including dormer windows, covered with incombustible
<br />material. All cornices shall be of incombustible material except residences.
<br />Sec. 9. Permissible wooden structures within fire limits.
<br />(a) No frame or wooden structure shall hereafter be built within the
<br />fire limits as given herein, or within the fire limits hereafger established, except the
<br />following, and all roofs placed upon such buildings or structures shall have an incom.
<br />bustible covering;
<br />(b) Temporary one-story frame buildings for use of builders. No frame build.
<br />ing shall be moved from without to within the fire limits.
<br />(c) Bay windows when covered with incombustible material.
<br />SEC. 10. 1.1-.epairing frame buildings within fire limits.
<br />Any existing frame building within the fire limits, which may hereafter
<br />be damaged by fire, decay, or otherwise to an amount greater than one-half of its
<br />pre sent value, exclusive of the foundation, shall not be repaired or rebuilt, but shall
<br />be removed.
<br />Sec. 11. What buildings required to be fireproof.
<br />(a) All buildings erected for the use of a public Garage, coffee roaster,
<br />stable, bakery, or dry cleaning establishment within the fire limits Mall be of fire-
<br />proof construction.

<br />(b) All buildings over 100 feet in height, shall be of fireproof con-
<br />Sec. 12. Limits of height and area.
<br />(a) Except as specified in Section 28, no building hereafter erected within
<br />the corporate limits, having walls of hollow terra cotta or concrete blocks, shall
<br />exceed three stories, or forty (40) feet in height, and no building hereafter erected
<br />or altered shall exceed eight(6) stories or one hundred (100) feet in height, unleae
<br />it be of (slow burning or) fireproof construction.
<br />(b) The floor area between fire walls of non -fireproof buil4inge shall
<br />not exceed the following; When fronting on one street, 5,000 square feet; When fronting
<br />on two streets, 6,000 square feet, and when fronting on three streets 7,500 square feet'
<br />These area limits may be increased under the following conditions as indicated:
<br />For non -fireproof buildings, fully equipped with approved automatic
<br />sprinklers, 66-2/3%.
<br />For fireproof buildings, not exceeding 125 feet in height, 50%0
<br />For fireproof buildings not exceeding 126 feet in height, fully equipped
<br />with approved automatic sprinklers, 10016.

<br />(a) All exterior or division walls of buildings hereafter erected shall be
<br />of sufficient thickness to support the lead to be oarried= but in no ease shall a brick,
