�si <br />and specifications and such strain sheets as he deems necessary. <br />(b) No building shall be moved until a permit has been obtained from <br />the City Manager; who shall not issue such permit if in his judgement the proposed new <br />location of the building would seriously increase the fire hazard of the surrounding build- <br />ings. <br />(c) No permit required hereunder for erection, construction or alteration <br />of a building <br />or structure <br />Shall <br />be issued, <br />unless the <br />proper fee accompanies the applica- <br />tion; the fees <br />for permits <br />issued <br />hereunder <br />shall be as <br />follows: <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $50.00 and does not exceed $500.00 - $0.50. <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $800.00 and does not exceed $2,000.00 - $1.00 <br />When the total cost is in excess of $2,000.00 and does not exceed $5,000,00 - $3.00 <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $5,000.00 and does not exceed $10,000.00 <br />--$5.00 <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $10,000.00 and does not exceed $25,000.00 <br />--$10.00. <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $25,000.00 and does not exceed $50,000.00 <br />--$25.00. <br />Where the total cost is in excess of $50,000.00 and does not exceed $100,000.00 <br />--$50.00 <br />Where the total coat is in excess of $100,000.00 -- $100.00. <br />(d) The City Manager may revise the estimate of the cost of any proposed build- <br />ing or structure, or alteration thereof, for which application is made for a permit, aq may <br />require a sworn statement of the applicant as to the cost thereof. <br />(e) When a permit is granted hereunder, the party receiving it shall apply for the <br />grade and line of the sewer nearest to his property and make his building or structure conform <br />thereto. <br />Seo. 5. Change in struLAure after permit is issued. <br />If during the progress of the execution of the work it is desired to materially <br />alter or deviate in any manner from the construction, or other essential features as calledfor in <br />the approved plans and specifications, notice of such intention shall be given on blanks <br />furnished by the building inspector to the City Manager, and if approved, he will give the <br />applioant his written approval of the change required, otherwise no change will be made in the <br />Plans and specifications as approved. <br />Sec. 6. To what buildins and stru.,turee these regulations apply. <br />(a) This chapter of the Code shall apply to future building operations and new <br />buildings to be erected within the corporate limits, and nothing herein contained shell be <br />deemed to have a retroactice effect or operation unless clearly indicated. <br />(b) Upon the completion of such buildings, structure, or alteration; providdd <br />no violations exist, the pity Manager or other officials designated by him, shall issue to the <br />owner a oertifioate of occupancy of the proposed building or pert thereof, stating the Pur - <br />P0819 for which Such building or Structure may be used. There Shall be no occupancy until after <br />such certificate has been issued for such building or structure or part thereof. <br />Sec. ?. Foundation. <br />(a) Every building hereinafter except buildings erected upon solid rock, shall have <br />e ooncrete brick, or stone foundation wall, laid in Portland Cement mortar extending around <br />the entire area to be occupied by the building and below the curb grade at least eighteen (18) <br />
