4. Parking is permitted only on the designated side of the following streets: On the East side of Rugby Road from Lain Street to a point poosite the en- trance to wayside place, on the North side of Linden Avenue, from Rurgby Road to the Northern end of University Way, and on the east side of University way. 5. Diagonal parking may be permitted by the Police department as follows: On the South side of Water Street; on Third Street East between Water Street and Market Street on Market Street West of Seventh Street East, and on West Main Street between Fifteenth Street and Elliewood Avenue. Every person convicted of violation of this ordina.ce shall for the first conitiction thereon be punished by a fine of not less than $2.50; for a second such conviction within one year such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5.00. Upon a third or subsequent conviction within one year such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10.00. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF GASOLINE, OR OIL STATION FOR PUBLIC SERVICE WITHIN FIVE (500) HUNDRED FEET OF ANY HOSPITAL, SANITARIUM, SCHOOL, CHURCH, OR PUBLIC LIBRARY. BE IT ORDIANED, by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, that it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to operate a gasoline, or oil filling station for public service within three hundred (300) feet of any hospital, sanitarium, church, public school, or public library in the City of Charlottesville. This ordiance shall not apply to filling stations already in operation, or to any on Main Street. No additional filling stations shall be operated on Main Street without special permit from the City Council.
